On September 27 in Ljubljana, European Investment Bank signed five new loan agreements, worth 433 million euros. TEŠ signed a 350-million-worth loan agreement for the construction of the 600 MW generator 6 with the steam turbine. Therefore the rest of the means will need to be ensured out of the own means and commercial banks credits.

In the first nine months of this year we despatched in the network 2,738 GWh, which is 11.2% more than the business plan. Besides electrical energy we generated 246.1 GWh of heat energy for district heating, which is 36.7 or 13% less than the business plan. The reason for the decrease in the generation of heat energy is relative high outside temperatures in the winter period.

The construction of turbines is being performed without interruptions

In 2004, Šoštanj Thermal Power Plant signed the contract for the supply of two Siemens most modern gas turbines of this kind. The investment will cost 28.5 million euros. Turbines will be financed out of the own means and of the raising of loan.

Šoštanj Thermal Power Plant in the period of development and new technologies

On 30 July, after two months we have successfully finished the repair of the generator 5 that was successfully synchronized in the network. During one of the most demanding repairs of Thermal Power Plant, the work needed a lot of preparation and coordination. Besides the great repair and a little time to perform it, we were indirectly involved in the strong conjunction on the European energetic area what could have been also observed in the operation. 1300 workers from various European countries with the majority of the home workers were included. Its value is estimated to a bit more than 18 million euros.
