At TEŠ, we
devote a lot of attention to the environment in which we work and which
we actively help to shape. Our policy is accordant with the principles
of sustainable development. We marked our commitment to the responsible
treatment of the environment many years ago by meeting the requirements
of the ISO 14001 environmental management standard. In the last 20
years, we have invested a great deal of funds in environmental projects
in order to achieve our ambitious goals for lowering NOx, CO2, SO2 and
dust particle emissions. By implementing our development plan, we
will keep the production of electrical energy, while also continuing the
ecological rehabilitation in keeping with the Kyoto Protocol to lower
emissions and preserve the quality of water. We will continue to take
active part in the development of the local environment by contributing
donations and sponsorship funds, which we will also use to support
various sports, culture, science and art projects and activities. We
will continue to devote a great deal of attention to our employees. We
share a considerable responsibility with them: to implement our energy
projects in order to realise our expectations in the economic,
environmental and social fields.
