One of the most important parts of the energy conversion process in a traditional thermal power station is the water - steam cycle. This is an enclosed circuit system, which in normal operating conditions has virtually no leakage.
The system begins in the condenser where the steam condenses into
liquid. The technical schematics allow for an easy understanding of the
progress of the circuit, starting from the condenser and continuing to
the feed water reservoir supplying the boiler, and then finally on to
the steam turbine.
The technical diagrams show many thermal installations, which
determine the basic characteristics of the thermal process and the size
of the facilities. The number and size of installations on a particular
generating unit and their characteristics are listed in the technical
data tables.
